It's our goal to provide information about current scams that manipulate people into giving up personal information, financial information or to obtain money from you by fraud or trickery.

We encourage you to look around this page and click on helpful links that will give you helpful information about current scams and how to avoid them. Additionally, we hope you will use the links and resources on this page to find other resources to assist in your daily life.

​Did You Know...

  • If you did not enter a lottery or a sweepstakes, you CANNOT WIN MONEY!  Notification of a lottery or sweepstakes you did not enter is a SCAM.
  • If someone is asking you to send them money in order for you to receive money, this is a SCAM.
  • A law enforcement agency will NEVER call you and demand that you pay money by credit card, money order, or gift card in order to resolve a warrant.  This is a SCAM.
  • The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will NEVER call you and demand that you pay money by credit card, money order, or gift card in order to resolve a warrant.  This is a SCAM.
  • There are lots of scams targeting senior citizens.  Check out the links on this page for more information.
