City of Thornton Mission Statement
Our mission as a community is to ensure the availability of a broad range of services using all available public and private resources. Thornton will provide for a high quality of life by being responsive to the physical and human requirements of its citizens through innovative leadership and planning.
Thornton is a full service city providing a variety of employment opportunities. Police, fire, infrastructure, court, recreation, and city planning are just some of the areas that offer rewarding, challenging employment and competitive salaries and benefits.
The city of Thornton accepts applications online. The Human Resources department has two computers available to the public to use during business hours to complete an online application and is located in City Hall, second floor, outside of Human Resources.
