Survivor of car crash to meet rescuers
On Feb. 22, crash survivor Casey Park will meet rescuers from TFD

THORNTON, CO… Almost one year after being rescued from the wreckage of a high-impact three-car crash, Casey Park will finally get to meet and thank his rescuers from Thornton Fire Department Station #4.

On March 29, 2016, at 84th Avenue and Washington Street, the driver of a stolen car crashed into two cars, including the one driven by Casey Park. The impact of the crash was so forceful, Park, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pushed from the driver’s seat into the passenger seat, and was trapped inside his car. Thornton firefighters and medical crews extricated him, and provided medical care on the way to the hospital.

Park requested the visit, which will take place Wednesday, February 22, at 4 p.m. Due to construction at Thornton Fire Station #4, the meeting will take place at Thornton Fire Station #5, 14051 Colorado Blvd., Thornton.
