"Seniors Celebrate Cultural Diversity" is a collaborative project between four senior citizens centers in Adams County. The purpose of the project is to provide Adams County seniors with an increased awareness and appreciation of art, music and history of distinct cultural groups.

A cooperative team approach between Thornton, Commerce City, Brighton and Northglenn Senior Centers and their respective school districts will allow for an in depth look at national and global cultural groups. Cultures to be celebrated and explored include African, Hispanic/Latin, Asian, European and the Middle East. Throughout the year the four senior centers involved will each select a culture to explore in a weeklong celebration.

Each program will reflect the unique ethnic diversity of culture and shall include culinary experiences, visual displays throughout each center and educational and entertainment pieces.

These events are made possible through a grant from the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District.  All ages are welcome to attend.
