TAKE A WALK!
On Saturday, October 13, we will meet in the parking lot for Hunter's Glen Park. This is NOT the HOA clubhouse – this is the park that is on the south side of the lake and you enter the park off of 128th Street. It's just west of High Street. This walk will be a loop to the east and it can be 5-7 miles at its longest – and the group will determine how far we go on that day. We will depart promptly at 9 a.m. so please don't be late. This trail is partially paved and partially chat/granite fines, but it is relatively flat. Please remember to dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. If you are interested in participating in the program but can't come on October 13, please make sure we have your e-mail address and we will keep you apprised of the dates, locations and distances for upcoming walks. This is a monthly fitness program designed to help you develop or maintain a consistent fitness program. City of Thornton Recreation Staff will lead the walk each month. These treks will be of varying distances and will explore the many different trails around the community. Come alone or bring your spouse, your neighbors, your children and/or your dog. This is an opportunity to pursue your fitness goals, meet some new people and enjoy the trails of Thornton. These walks are free and open to anyone who can physically complete the distance. These are "no frills" events, so bring what you will need (water bottle, pet pick-up bags, etc.) for the duration of each month's walk.
