| Thorntonfest
is going green!
City staff will be
joining their efforts to lessen the environmental impact of
Thorntonfest.
On May 17, green efforts will focus on collecting
all plastic drink bottles,
paperboard and cardboard. Be sure to keep your eye out for the green city
recycling cans when
preparing to dispose of these items:
· all plastic
beverage containers
· used festival
programs and other miscellaneous paper products
· other discarded
plastic and aluminum items
Items we won't be able
to recycle:
· used eating
utensils and containers
· plastic bags
The festival will be
promoting recycling and waste reduction at the
City of Thornton's
Recycling Education Center, located near the big,
blue and white City Tent
- so stop by and see what's new in the
world of recycling, reducing and
reusing. It's so easy being green!
