Carpenter Recreation Center
CONDITIONING CENTER

Margaret W. Carpenter Recreation Center offers a complete Conditioning Center with a variety of weight and fitness machines. The 3,300-square-foot Conditioning Center is located at the base of the main staircase. During high-use hours there will be a fitness attendant on duty. This person will be able to assist facility guests with the use of all the various equipment in this area.

The weight and fitness equipment is provided for anyone 16 years and older. Those between 13 and 15 years of age must complete a youth orientation. The Conditioning Center is open during all general operating hours of the facility.

NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 16 IS PERMITTED IN THE CONDITIONING CENTER EXCEPT AS A PARTICIPANT IN THE YOUTH WEIGHT ROOM ORIENTATION CLASS, UNLESS THEY HAVE COMPLETED THIS CLASS.

The Conditioning Center is divided into three separate areas: free weights, circuit machines
and cardiovascular equipment.

Conditioning Center Orientation

To guarantee a spot in a scheduled orientation, please call for an appointment. As the demand decreases and our guests are more comfortable with the equipment, the Conditioning Center Orientation schedule may be revised. Please call the fitness attendant’s office at 303-255-7800 for further details.
