Reduced
Rate Assistance Plan
Facility Use and Program Registration
The Recreation Center offers a Reduced Rate Assistance Plan (RRAP)
for those Thornton residents who qualify. Qualifying is based on
house-hold size and annual income, according to the Federal Low-income
Standards. Each household will need to qualify on an annual basis; once
approved, all qualifying family members will receive a 50 percent discount on
recreation programs, recreation photo IDs and/or daily admission to the
Carpenter Recreation Center, City Pool and Park Village Pool
How to Apply: Each year applicants will need to submit
a brief RRAP application, along with their most recent federal income tax return
or any other form that verifies the family's annual income. The
completed application needs to be filled out during a brief 10 minute appointment
with recreation center staff in order to confidentially handle your
paperwork. For general inquires on qualification standards or to schedule
an application appointment, please call 720-977-5912 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
Monday through Friday.
Qualification is only good through December of the year they
