Dalmatians have traditionally been linked with fire departments and the Thornton Fire Department has its own, new spotted mascot! Actually, it’s a "fire safety" Dalmatian dog costume that will be used to help tech fire safety education.

The safety dog mascot will make appearances at community events, in parades and at schools during fire department presentations about fire safety. The Fire Department is seeking volunteers to wear the Dalmatian suit during events to bring the safety dog to life. if you can donate your time to share valuable fire safety tips with the community, contact the Public Education Officer at 303-538-7657.
