Thornton summer concert series begins June 5

Music, treats and opportunities to chat with City Council members

THORNTON, CO…. Thornton’s summer concert series begins June 5 with classic rock tunes by Robert Michael. He performs at Community Park, at Thornton Parkway and York St. The concerts are free, and along with the great music, some concerts feature Ice Cream Socials and opportunities to meet and talk with Thornton City Council members. The Concerts in the Park all begin at 7 p.m. and are scheduled for:

5 -    Robert Michael (Classic rock/Variety), Community Park, Thornton Pkwy. & York St.

12 - Mood Express (Latin), Cherrywood Park, 138th Pl. & Madison St.

19 - Triple Nickel (Classic rock/Country)/Ice Cream Social, Ward1, Community Park,
       Thornton Pkwy. & York St. (Bad weather back-up location will be at the Thornton
       Senior Center, 9471 Dorothy Blvd.)

26 - Receders (Funk/Classic rock)/Ice Cream Social, Ward 2, Yorkborough Park, 98th &     
       Detroit St. (Bad weather back-up location: Margaret Carpenter
       Recreation Center, 11151 Colorado Blvd.)

10 - Dakota Blonde (Folk/Bluegrass)/ Ice Cream Social, Ward 4, South Park (Lee Lateral),
       130th Ave. & York St. (Bad weather back-up will be at the Margaret Carpenter
