City Council approved a new Comprehensive Plan on September 11, 2007. The
development of this plan included citizen outreach through scheduled Community Meetings and
the creation of Citizen Committees that helped formulate the new plan.
Thornton’s Comprehensive Plan gives a broad overview of how the City will grow,
and where future development or redevelopment will occur. The plan comprises a Future
Land Use Map
