have opened up. The finishing touches on several
other stores are in process. Thorncreek Crossing
is rapidly approaching 100% constructed and 100%
leased.

The
new retail shops are rapidly making their way
toward completion. Most are anticipating a grand
opening before the end of the year.

David
Menough, owner of Wild
Birds Unlimited, has chosen to expand his
unique specialty bird feeding store to Thornton
in the Thorncreek Shopping Center. The store will
occupy 1,900 square-feet at the far eastern end
space of the new 11,800 square-foot retail building,
just north of Chick-fil-A.
David would like to open by Thanksgiving. Wild
Birds Unlimited caters to the backyard bird feeding
hobbyist.
The
franchise first opened in 1981 and has grown to
over 300 stores nationwide. The store offers bird
food, bird feeders, birdbaths, nesting boxes and
related merchandise.
Wild
Birds Unlimited will be joined by Quiznos
Classic Subs, Cold
Stone Creamery, a hair salon and Lenscrafters
in the center
7/03:
The
ribbon cutting for the Thornton Olive
Garden Italian Restaurant will take place
on August 4 at 3:30 p.m. and will open to the
public at 4:00 p.m.
The
Metro
North Chamber of Commerce and area schools
will assist in the opening. Hiring and training
will begin on July 7.
Thornton's Olive Garden will be one of their first
non-smoking restaurants. The attractive architectural
style is a replica of a Tuscan farm house in Tuscany,
Italy. There are 10 Olive Garden's in the Denver/Boulder
area and 525 nationwide.
5/03:
Ground
has broken on an 11,800 square-foot retail building,
north and adjacent of Chick-fil-A,
which will have space for approximately eight
new businesses.
Ground
has broken on a 35,000 square-foot retail building,
next to Linens
and Things, which will include Pier
1 Imports and Famous
Footwear as well as several other smaller
businesses.
Olive
Garden will open in July and World
Savings in June contingent upon receiving
their Certificates of Occupancy.
4/03:
The
World Savings building nears completion.
3/03:
Linens-N-Things
opened a 31,325 square-foot building retailing
home textiles, housewares and home accessories.
The store will employ approximately 70 people.
