Engineering Services

The Engineering Services Division includes Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Engineering, Infrastructure Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Survey. They are also responsible for maintaining the cities National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program.

The CIP Engineering Section manages the design and construction of capital improvement projects such as streets, bridges, drainage, water, sewer, trails, and streetscaping.

The GIS Section maintains infrastructure data for mapping purposes and provides mapping and presentation services to the CIP and Survey Sections, as well as other City departments.

The Survey Section provides surveying services and technical information to the CIP and GIS Sections, as well as other City departments. Those services include computer drafting, topographic surveys, legal descriptions, plat reviews, and floodplain determinations.
