Thornton provides curbside trash and recycling collection to over 26,625 homes, as well as a number of other collection services for our citizens. The collection service operates as an enterprise fund — meaning that all costs are covered by user fees.

 

 

Memorial Day Holiday Delay

Trash and recycling collection service will be on a one day holiday delay in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday, beginning Monday, May 27, 2013.  If your normal trash/recycle pickup day is Monday it will be picked up on Tuesday.  If your normal trash/recycle day is Tuesday it will be picked up on Wednesday and so forth through the week.  City trash/recycle service will return to normal pickup schedule on Monday, June 3, 2013.
