Thornton provides curbside trash and recycling collection to over 27,000 homes, as well as a number of other collection services for our citizens. The collection service operates as an enterprise fund — meaning that all costs are covered by user fees.

REMINDER:  Recycling is a twice a month service for City trash customers, not every other week.  For example: if your recycle collection schedule is every 1st and 3rd Monday or Tuesday of the month, and there are 5 Mondays and Tuesdays in March, your recycle will not be collected on the 30th or the 31st.
