The City of Thornton — in cooperation with Adams County and other local jurisdictions, will conduct a collection program for safe disposal of unwanted household hazardous chemicals. Fee - based electronics waste (tv's, computers,etc.) recycling will also be available at these events.

What We Can and Cannot Accept?
We will accept... House and Garden Chemicals, Paint Products, Automotive Fluids, Vehicle Batteries, Fuels, Mercury, Propane Tanks (20 lbs. or less), and Tires ($2/Tire).
We will not accept... Medical Waste, Business Waste, Radioactive Waste, Explosive Waste, Asbestos Waste, Compressed Gasses or Drummed Waste.
