The Thornton Senior Center contracts with the Adams County Special Transit program to provide transportation services to senior citizens. The Senior Center schedules transportation for senior citizens wishing to participate in the lunch program, Monday through Friday. Transportation reservations may be made by calling the Senior Center at 303-255-7850. Reservations must be made three business days in advance by 10 a.m.

Seniors or handicapped persons requiring transportation services for medical appointments and grocery shopping should contact A-Lift to determine eligibility. Community Transit’s phone number is 303-235-6972. RTD Access-a-ride is available in Adams County to qualifying handicapped persons regardless of age or income level. Persons interested in qualifying for this service should call RTD at 303-299-2960.
