Pedicures
Kellie Cortez is available for appointments the third Monday of each month from 9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please call 303-255-7850 to make an appointment. Pedicures cost $14.00, fingernail trimming and filing is available for $7.00. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance or a $7 surcharge will apply. This service is for seniors only. Bring a towel or you may rent one for $1. Polish application is available for an additional $1.
Podiatry services
The Senior Center offers professional podiatry care with Dr. Kimberly Wilms on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 1 - 5 p.m. Services provided will be diabetic foot care; routine palliative care of calluses and toenails; evaluation of various foot deformities including bunions, hammertoes and heel pain. The cost for services is $25 cash or check. For an appointment, call the Senior Center at 303-255-7850.
Massage Therapy
Prices are $18 for 30 minutes, $36 for one hour. We require a 24-hour notice of cancellation. Call 303-255-7850 for an appointment with one of our massage therapists.

Vial of Life
Emergency medical information provides helpful information to police, sheriff, fire and ambulance crews when an emergency is called in on 911. Local senior citizens can participate in the Vial of Life program by filling out an enrollment form and placing it in a vial which is kept in your home refrigerator. Forms are available at the Senior Center. Call 720-977-5852 for details.
Health Screenings
Preventative health-care services are available the first Friday of each month, 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sponsored by the Visiting Nurse Association, services include:
- Blood Pressure (BP) Check $3
- Toenail Trim with BP Check $25
- Fingernail Trim $10
- Blood Sugar $5
- B - 12 Shot $7 (must bring physician order and serum)

Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS)
Thornton TOPS group meets weekly at the Thornton Senior Center. Anyone interested in losing weight, eating healthy and living a more active lifestyle can join the group. The group meets every Tuesday from 9 -10:30 a.m. at the Thornton Senior Center, 9471 Dorothy Blvd. For more information, call the Thornton Senior Center at 303-255-7850. Men and visitors welcome!
Community Acupuncture Clinic
Treatments are available the third Friday of the month from 8:45 a.m.-11 a.m. Treatments are done in a community style setting, with several people receiving treatment simultaneously. De-stress acupuncture is $10. Extra points are based on a sliding scale of $15-$45 based on what you can afford (plus $10 one time initial assessment fee). Individual acupuncture appointment: $65 initial visit, $45 each following visit. Adults ages 18-54 pay 1½ times the senior rate for services. We require a 24-hour notice of cancellation or a surcharge will apply.
