Senior Citizen Advisory Board 
 

The purpose of the Senior Citizen Advisory Board is to promote and facilitate communications between the Board and the City Council in matters impacting the needs and interests of senior citizens, and to better assist the City Council in being responsive and well advised as to issues of particular relevancy to senior citizens.

The Board meets on the following days;

  • 1 p.m. on the 3rd Wednesday in January
  • 1 p.m. on the 3rd Wednesday in April
  • 4 p.m. on the 3rd Wednesday in July
  • 1 p.m. on the 3rd Wednesday in October 

The Board consists of nine members one from each ward of the city, one mayor appointee, one 55+ Organization representative, one member of the business community and two members at large. All members are approved by City Council.
