Instructional lesson program (ages 6-16) and recreational leagues ages (8-18) offered June-July to boys and girls with registration in February. Fees: $40 - $48 for lessons and $75 - $90 for leagues.

Youth Tennis Lessons

Ages: 6 - 16

Classes for beginners and intermediate players will focus on the fun of playing tennis while developing and improving the basic fundamental skills.  Participants should bring their own racket and water to each class; balls will be provided.

Location: Eastlake Tennis Courts, 124th Ave. & Steele St.
Days: Tuesdays & Thursday
Fees: $40 Residents / $48 Nonresidents

Key for levels:

Beg:- Beginning class for students with little or no experience playing tennis.
Int. -  Intermediate class for those who have taken lessons before or have playing experience (8 - 10 hours)Adv. - Advanced class for students who have completed the intermediate class.

All classes are open to students 6 - 16 years old.  We will separate into groups based on age and skill level when class begins.

 

C.A.R.A. Youth Tennis Team 

Ages: 7 - 18
The Colorado Association of Recreational Athletics program offers an excellent opportunity for the young player to develop his or her tennis skills.  Participants practice on Mondays and Wednesdays and attend matches on Fridays (8 a.m. - 1p.m.)  at various cities (parents or guardians are responsible for transportation to and from matches).  All team members receive a 100% cotton T-shirt.  Registration begins in February.

Days: Monday & Wednesday;  June 6 - July 22
Fees: $80 Residents / $96 Nonresidents

Private Tennis Lessons for Beginners

Ages: 6 - Adult

Group lessons no the best for you?  One-on-one and semiprivate (2-3 participants) instruction is now available through our tennis program.  Location and times are arranged with the instructor.  Register at the Carpenter Recreation Center. Private lessons are taught June-August only.

Private Fee:  $25 per 60-min session
$60 for three lessons

Semi-private (2-3) Fee: $30 per 60-minute session
$75 for three sessions.

The Thornton Tennis Association (TTA) is a growing group of over 150 tennis enthusiasts from across the North Metro area, at all skill levels. TTA is a member of the U.S. Tennis Association and is also a representative of the Tennis Industry Association's Tennis Welcome Center Program. Whether your goals include competitive, recreational, tournament, or league tennis. TTA can help you find others with similar interests. They play at Eastlake Park #3 courts year round.
