If you are not completely satisfied with the activities and programs offered, the City of Thornton will be happy to issue a credit, refund your money or transfer you to a different class or activity. If the class has already started please come to the registration desk at the Recreation Center OR the Community Center and ask for the Refund/Credit Request form. Once the refund has been authorized a receipt will be mailed to address in the system confirming the refund.

Transfers will be processed immediately.

If you paid by cash or check...

Refunds take approximately two weeks to process and are mailed to the address on the registration form. Refund checks will be made payable to the head of household unless otherwise directed in writing and approved.

If you paid by credit card...

The amount will be credited to your account. Amount refunded may be prorated based on the reason for the refund and/or number of classes attended.

Household Credit...

When requesting a refund you will be asked if you want the refund as a household credit. This is a credit in the system to your household. You can use this credit towards future classes, passes or pro-shop items. This credit can also be refunded back to you at any time. Just call the front desk or the registrations office to request a credit balance refund.
