Open Space & Project Management 

The Open Space and Project Management Division is responsible for the planning, design and inspection of parks and open space capital projects.  The Division also works with the Parks and Open Space Advisory Commission in implementing the City's Parks and Open Space Master Plan.

Planned Park Improvements West of the Margaret W. Carpenter Recreation Center

The City of Thornton is in the design phase of a project that includes park and open space improvements at 11151 Colorado Boulevard.  Improvements will include a boathouse, indoor carousel, outdoor amphitheatre, skate park, tennis and basketball courts, playground, splash pad and more.
