The Eastlake Heritage Trail along the Lee Lateral Ditch between York Street and Colorado Boulevard, north of 128th Avenue, is open to the public. Additional trail amenities and educational signage celebrate the railroad and agricultural influence of the town of Eastlake, which was established in 1911. The purpose of the Heritage Trail concept is to designate trail loops that connect with the City's Regional and Neighborhood Trail network and create a sense of cultural identity by bringing specific arts, education, heritage and environmental experiences to trail users. An Adams County Open Space Grant was awarded to partially fund this project.
