HeART for CASA: A CHAIRity Event
TASHCO partnered with CASA or Adams and Broomfield Counties (Court Appointed Special Advocates) to offer the North Metro area's first multi-faceted art event on May 5, 2011. Hand painted chairs (see below), artwork, and art-related silent auction items were sold to benefit both non-profits. The evening also featured delectable edibles, local musicians, and painting classes led by Palette pARTites and north metro artist David Griffin.
TASHCO is responsible for nurturing and programming visual and performing arts, sciences, culture and history in Thornton. CASA recruites, trains, supports and supervises community volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children who are involved in the court system, through no fault of their own. TASHCO and CASA joined forces to highlight the north metro art community while raising money to support our most vulnerable citizens: innocent child victims of abuse and neglect.
