Since 2008, the City of Thornton and more than 200 volunteers have partnered with Rebuilding Together for these community events.
What is “Rebuilding Days”? Coordinated through Rebuilding Together Metro Denver, teams of 10-20 volunteers will work for one full day to repair and revitalize a home, all at no cost to the qualified homeowner.
What kind of activities can volunteers expect to do? Paint, replace light fixtures, install handrails or grab bars, install weather stripping, fix locks, trim trees, build handicap ramps and more!
Who receives assistance? Teams of volunteers repair the homes of low income seniors who live in Thornton and are in need of home repair assistance.
Do volunteers need construction skills? No! Just register, show up and be ready for a full day of work. Skilled team leaders will be there to provide guidance and instructions on how to complete the repair work.
*Volunteers ages 16 & 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
*For groups and individuals interested in volunteering please call 303-538-7287.
