Colorado Foreclosure Hotline

The state of Colorado sponsors this free hotline for homeowners who have missed a payment or are in danger of foreclosure.  Trained professional housing counselors can help you understand what options are available to you. The Foreclosure Hotline number is 1-877-601-HOPE or 1-877-601-4673. 

Adams County Housing Authority (ACHA)

The Adams County Housing Authority conducts free workshops on the first and third Wednesday of each month to help homeowners learn steps to avoid foreclosure. All workshops are taught by trained housing counselors. The Adams County Housing Authority also offers mediation assistance, money management and budgeting, negotiating skills, refinancing assistance, and loss mitigation options for all types of mortgages including: FHA, VA, Conventional, and sub-prime.

Brothers Redevelopment Inc.

Brothers Redevelopment, Inc. (BRI) is a non-profit agency that offers a variety of services from default counseling to providing reverse mortgages.  The BRI staff will provide residents with information on foreclosure options, repayment negotiations and an overview of the foreclosure process and critical timeframes.   Call 303-202-6340 for additional information.

Colorado Housing Enterprises (CHE)

Colorado Housing Enterprises, LLC is a HUD approved Housing Counseling agency offering free foreclosure prevention services.  Experienced, bi-lingual staff will help explain options and can negotiate directly with lenders for a resolution.   To schedule an appointment with a foreclosure counselor contact 303-428-1448.

Colorado Housing and Finance Authority

The Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) offers a Hardship Refinance program to assist citizens that are facing foreclosure because of a temporary and unforeseen financial crisis. It provides a one time opportunity for qualifying borrowers to pay off their existing delinquent mortgage and establish a new 30-year, conventionally uninsured first mortgage.  Call 303-297-7376 and request to speak to a Mortgage Loan Officer.

Adams County Public Trustee

The Adams County Public Trustee's Office processes foreclosures in Adams County. The Public Trustee's Office website can provide information regarding individual foreclosure cases, foreclosure auctions, as well as the policy for HOA lien redemptions and cures.

The Adams County Public Trustee office can also help with purchasing a foreclosed home. If you are interested in learning more about the purchase of a foreclosed home, please visit the Adams County website.
