The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) indicates that households should not pay more than thirty percent (30%) of their total annual gross income on rental and utility expenses.  In response to this need, HUD provides funding to the Adams County Housing Authority and other qualified non-profit organizations to subsidize apartment rental expenses.

Colorado Housing Search

Colorado Housing Search is sponsored by the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority and the Colorado Division of Housing as a public service to the residents of Colorado.  Visit the Colorado Housing Search website to access specific information about the availability, rental rates and other information.

Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program 

The Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program is funded by the federal government to assist very low-income families, elderly and disabled individuals to afford decent, safe and sanitary housing in the private market.

 Aztec Villa Apartments

Located at 8675 Mariposa Street, Aztec Villa offers 165 units of affordable housing ranging from one to three bedrooms.  Eleven of the units are reserved for very low- income individuals.  This complex is situated close to Bell Roth Park and several schools within the Adams County District 12.  The property is owned and managed by the ACHA.  For more information call 303-428-8090.

Carriage Hill Apartments

Located at 8901 Huron Street, Carriage Hill offers over 100 one and two bedroom apartment homes. This complex is situated near several schools within the Adams County District 12.  The complex is privately owned and managed.  For more information contact the leasing office at 303-427-1617.

Creekside Place Apartments

Creekside Place has 208 apartment homes ranging from one to four bedrooms.  This complex provides 137 units of affordable housing to low income households.  Creekside is located at 9189 Gale Boulevard near several schools within the Adams County District 12.  In addition, the property offers an an onsite Head Start classroom.  For additional information, please contact 303-428-9986.

Fox Creek Apartments

Fox Creek Apartments offers 287 apartment homes ranging from one to four bedroom units.  Fox Creek is privately owned and managed and accepts Section 8 vouchers.   The property is located at 12220 Colorado Boulevard and offers several amenities.  For more information contact the leasing office at 303-457-3502.

The Meadows at Town Center

Located at 10101 Washington Street, the Meadows at Town Center (formerly Lamplighter Village) has 104 pet-friendly one, two and three bedroom apartment units.  This complex is privately owned and managed.  Several of the units are subsidized.  Contact the leasing office at 303-450-1553 for further information.

Orchard Hill Apartments

Orchard Hill Senior Apartments provides independent living convenient to downtown Denver, shopping, banks, post office, parks, a library and medical facilities.  Orchard Hill offers well-designed apartments and great amenities for individuals who are 55 years of age and older.  The property is located at 1353 W. 88th Avenue.  For rental rates, qualification and more information please call 303-200-4770. 

Overlook at Thornton

The Overlook at Thornton offers 160 apartments ranging from one to three bedrooms. This apartment complex was completely renovated in 2006.  The pet-friendly apartment complex is located at 647 W. 91st Avenue.  For rental rates and availability, please contact 303-427-8293.

Parkview Terrace Apartments

The Parkview Terrace Apartments consist of 206 one to three bedroom apartment homes. The property address is 1300 Milky Way and is located just off of W. 88th Avenue and Pecos Street. Pineview Village

Located at 300 Russell Boulevard, Pineview Village offers 100 one to three bedroom units.  The complex is privately owned and managed.  Contact 303-430-8014 for rental rates and availability.

Renaissance 88 Apartments

Located at 388 E. 88th Avenue, the Renaissance 88 Apartments offer 180 units of one to four bedroom apartments to formerly homeless families and disabled individuals.  All units are subsidized through the HUD Section 8 program.  The complex is located near E. 88th Avenue and Washington Street just east of I-25.  The property is four years old and is owned and managed by the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless.  Contact 303-430-0157 for details on how you may qualify.

Reserve at Thornton

Located at 9700 Welby Road, the Reserve at Thornton offers 276 units of one, two and three bedrooms.  These privately owned and managed units were built in 2004 and offer several amenities.  The property has been newly renovated and is pet-friendly. For rental rates and availability, contact (303) 255-0700.

Sierra Vista Apartments

Sierra Vista provides 100 apartment homes ranging from one to three bedrooms.  The property was fully renovated in 2006 and is located at 9440 Hoffman Way, approximately four miles from Front Range Community College.  The property is privately owned and managed.  Contact 303-287-0951 for more information.

Skyline Apartments

Summit at Thornton
