 Other Ways to Get Involved in Your Community

Keep Thornton Beautiful - Keep Thornton Beautiful is a nonprofit group dedicated to keeping the City of Thornton a safe, healthy and attractive place to work and live. They offer opportunities to get involved in community clean up events. Contact them via their website above, or email: info@KeepThorntonBeautiful.org.

Paint-a-Thon - Brothers Redevelopment coordinates this summer event with event sponsors, volunteers, and local communities to paint homes in cities across the Front Range.  Click on the Paint-a-Thon title above to learn more about this event.

Rebuilding Days - These events bring volunteers and communities together to rehabilitate the homes of low-income homeowners.  Events are held on the last Saturday in April and the first Saturday in October. For more information click on the Rebuilding Days tile above. 

KaBOOM! -  This national nonprofit is dedicated to creating great playspaces through the participation and leadership of communities.  If you are interested in volunteering to build a playground or starting a project, click on the KaBOOM! title to visit the website.

Adams County Comunity Gardens - There are seven community gardens in Thornton.  These gardens are part of the Adams Community Gardens CO-OP.  If you are interested in participating in or establishing a new community garden, contact Tom Rapp, CO-OP Coordinator at trapp@seniorhub.org or 303-426-4408 Ext. 208.

Notable Neighbors - In an effort to recognize people who are making a positive impact on the lives of others in Thornton, the Thornton City Council has established the "Thornton Notable Neighbors" program.
