Across the country more than six million children (approximately 1 in 12), are not living with their parents and are instead living in households headed by grandparents or other relatives. Drugs, illness, death, and abuse are all the leading causes of this shift in families. In order to provide resources, networking opportunities, and information to these families, this conference is held annually with the support of the City of Thornton, Catholic Charities, Families First, Family Tree, and the State of Colorado.
The theme for this year’s conference is “The Evolution of Communication.” We will examine generational differences in communication and equip our audience with communication tools that can be used across generations.
