Join the Break a Leg! Theatre Company for another summer of community theatre, volunteerism, and fun! An all volunteer cast and crew will produce a show from start to finish. Interested community members can join one of seven theatrical teams: directing, costumes, set, sound/lighting, graphics, marketing, and photography. Each team will be led by an experienced mentor who will share his or her skills and knowledge with less experienced volunteers. Crew members must be a minimum of 18 years old unless a parent or guardian accompanies them to all rehearsals and volunteers on the same team.
Auditions for the play (which has not been selected yet) will be held in May. There is no minimum age to audition. The final productions will be held in August at the Thornton Arts & Culture Center (TACC), 9209 Dorothy Blvd.
Join us for an informational meeting on Friday, March 23, at 7 p.m. at TACC, 9209 Dorothy Blvd. In 2011, we had a cast and crew of 70 volunteers, and we had a fabulous time working on The Canterbury Tales or...Geoffrey Chaucer's Flying Circus, a hilarious Monty Python-style comedy. We're looking forward to another great production and would love for you to join us! Break a Leg! is made possible by SCFD, TASHCO, and the Thornton City Council.
