Thornton Accepting Grant Applications

Grants will go to nonprofit organizations serving basic needs

THORNTON, COThe City of Thornton is now accepting applications for the Thornton Assistance Fund grant. This program financially assists nonprofits that help Thornton residents and families meet their basic needs and enhance their ability to be self-sufficient.

Nonprofits with 501(c)3 status that serve the basic needs of food, housing, health and medical and/or human services are encouraged to apply. Program applications will be evaluated by their demonstrated benefit to the Thornton community, with priority placed on programs that provide the greatest impact to Thornton residents. 

To apply complete the Colorado Common Grant Application, found online at www.coloradocommongrantforms.org. Applications are due Thursday, January 22, 2009 by 5 p.m. to City of Thornton Neighborhood Services, Attn. TAC, 9500 Civic Center Drive, Thornton, CO 80229.
