Thornton Firefighters holiday food drive underway

THORNTON, COThe Thornton Firefighters annual holiday food drive is now underway. Food donations can be dropped off at any Thornton fire station between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. until Monday, December 15. The food will then be given to the Thornton Community Food Bank to be distributed to families in need. The food drive is a great way to help neighbors have a warm and satisfying holiday season. Only canned and non-perishable foods can be accepted. Thornton’s Fire Stations are located at:

  • Fire Station #1
    9451 Dorothy Boulevard
  • Fire Station #2
    9667 Huron Street
  • Fire Station #3
    11257 Birch Drive
  • Fire Station #4
    1400 E. 128th Avenue
  • Fire Station #5
    14051 Colorado Boulevard

If firefighters are not at the station during a drop-off, please leave donations next to the front door.  We will be checking regularly for food that is left outside. 

Donations can also be dropped off directly to the Thornton Community Food Bank at 8970 Hoyt Drive between 1p.m. and 3 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
