“Live the Life You Want” September 18

THORNTON, COThe Senior Resource Fair gives seniors and the people who care for them a chance to learn about issues that affect their lives. The fair will be held on September 18 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Crossroads Baptist Church, 53 E. 128th Avenue, four blocks west of 128th Avenue and Washington Street.

The Senior Resource Fair is free and open to everyone.  There will be a number of informational seminars including;

  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Medicare Education
  • Five Wishes-preparing for the end of life decisions
  • Understanding Guardianships, Conservatorships and Power of Attorneys
  • Fall Prevention
  • Diabetes Awareness
  • Concerns for Senior Drivers
  • Making your home more energy efficient.

The seminars presented are being given by a wide variety of instructors.

“This is an invaluable seminar for local area seniors, and I would encourage everyone to attend,” said Detective Gregg Beary. “The amount of free information and resources provided means that everyone should walk away with information that empowers them to live the life they want.”

The fair is sponsored by the Thornton Police Department, Adams County TRIAD and Prime Time for Seniors.
