Holiday food drive underway
The Thornton Firefighters annual holiday food drive is now underway. Food donations can be dropped off at any Thornton fire station until Monday, Dec. 15. The food will then be given to the Thornton Community Food Bank to be distributed to families in need.

Snowbusters wanted: Volunteers help neighbors in need

For all city trash collection customers, the Fall Leaf Collection program is now underway. It runs through Nov. 28. During this period, customers my place their bagged leaves at the curb for pick-up on their regular trash collection days.

The City of Thornton is now accepting applications for the 2009 Thornton Assistance Fund grant. This program financially assists nonprofits that help Thornton residents and families meet their basic needs.
